Camp Fircom · Gambier Island wedding · 2018
Rachel + Brian
Three days on an island, with nowhere more important to be.

The story
Camp Fircom turns a wedding into time together.
Rachel and Brian gathered their favourite people at Camp Fircom on Gambier Island for a romantic, rustic and joy-filled celebration. With everyone staying on the island, the wedding became more than a single ceremony or reception.
The photographs hold onto that sense of togetherness: forest paths, waterfront air and the informal moments that happen when family and friends share the same place for a full weekend. Filosophi Weddings planned the celebration, with beauty by Faye Smith and florals by Our Little Flower Company.

Not a checklist.
A day with a pulse.

From Sambajoy’s point of view
When everyone stays, the in-between moments become the story.
A Camp Fircom wedding has room for anticipation, ceremony and the relaxed hours around both. I photograph the landscape, but I stay alert to the small interactions that only happen when nobody needs to rush back to the city.
