The story

The journey became part of the wedding story.

K and T chose Bowen Island for their summer wedding, turning the short ferry ride from Vancouver into the beginning of the celebration. Sunshine, island scenery and a close gathering gave the day the feeling of a destination without taking it far from home.

Their photographs move between the natural setting and the easy energy of everyone who made the trip. The result feels relaxed, bright and unmistakably connected to the coast.

From Sambajoy’s point of view

Island weddings have their own pace. Let the photographs follow it.

Bowen Island encourages everyone to slow down and stay present. I look for that feeling in the transitions as much as the formal moments — the arrival, the breeze, the walk between places and the people settling into a day away together.
